Resources for the budding self publisher

So.. I hope to list here some resources for the budding self published. No idea how good or bad the services of each organisation are, but we at Matt ~Squared~ are happy to be educated by those who know better than us!!

So, with out further guff:

Printers

Recommended by Willie Hewes after the closure of submissions for her ITCH comic publishing service, I've never used them, but Print-X are looking like a really reasonable and good quality low volume printer.

A personal recommendation from fellow cartooneer, Steve Coffin (Lutu: warrior of the North), Ka-Blam are an alternative to a UK printer. I've never heard a bad review, so looking forward to giving them a go some time.

Distro

IndyPlanet seems to be a pretty good place to get your comics to the public. They work with Ka-Blam to provide an end to end solution for printing and sales.

Supplies

Dinkybox are brilliant! I have personally used them, good fast and courteous! It's pretty impossible to find Deleter supplies in the UK and so, THIS IS A TOTAL FIND!

Other bits and pieces

The Sweatdrop forums are a good read for various comic type info and discussions.

As Manga Studio is our digital weapon of choice, Pencilkiller.com has a super tutorial section, that I've found myself referring to a number of times.

Some awesome looking drawing reference material.

So, that's all for now. I'll expand/update this list in the future, but I wanted to get some of that "out there".
